First dorper auction in Tasmania, 22nd January 2010

20 Dorper and White Dorper rams were offered averaging $810/hd. The sale highlight was $3440 paid by Elders Bendigo a/c Mrs Val Wyatt for Brocburn 08280.

29 White Dorper ewes and lambs averaged $1120 /hd. The highest price paid was $2840 by Pisa Estate, Cressy for Brocburn 60103 with twin ewe lambs at foot. Volume buyer was Elders Bairnsdale a/c Mrs Val Wyatt purchasing 8 lots to a top of $2640.

30 Dorper ewes and lambs were sold averaging $570/hd. The two top priced ewes made $620 paid by WR Hastwell,Dover. Several lots made $580 with IJ & LS Murfett purchasing 9 lots.

The 40 commercial ewes and lambs were keenly sought and averaged $355/hd. Peter Le Batchelor from Mole Creek purchased 15 hd to a top of $580/hd for a pen of 4 ewes.
